#SocialMedia: Digital Trends in Research & Teaching

The Dean of Faculty’s Office, the Office of Institutional Technology, and the Library are announcing the launch of an annual research, teaching and technology series.
The theme for 2016-17 is #SocialMedia: Digital Trends in Research and Teaching. There will be three events in the Fall, and three in the Spring.  All events will be in the Faculty House Lounge, Noon to 1pm, and lunch will be provided.

Professors Jacqueline Hidalgo, Nate Kornell and María Elena Cepeda share how they use social media in the classroom.

Tuesday, November 15

Case Study: AFR 321 – Trending Black: Race & Social Media in the 21st Century,” PRESENTATION
Professor VaNatta Ford, Africana Studies, discusses her current course AFR 321, in which social media are both objects of study and teaching and exploratory tools.

Tuesday, December 6

Social Media in Higher Education. National Trends and Williams’ Experience, PRESENTATION
Shannon O’Brien, Social Media Strategist, Office of Communications.
